There's a moment a lot of runners know well. You've just finished a long run somewhere beautiful, up on the fells, along a coastal path, and you feel genuinely alive. For me, this about four years in Snowdonia.
Then you look down at what you're wearing. Head-to-toe plastic. I can’t exactly explain it, but it felt wrong.
I looked for alternatives, something simple but I just couldn’t find it. I realised, the running industry has become so dominated by synthetic fabrics that nobody stopped to ask: does it have to be this way? This is the question we started with.
Running Doesn't Have to Be That Serious
We run because it gets us outside, clears our heads, and can ends at a good pub or coffee shop with mates. But the gear on the market is designed for a different kind of runner, one obsessed with split times, wrapped in fabrics that shed microplastics with every stride.
We wanted something that matched why we actually run.
What We Made Instead
After plenty of testing and trips to Portugal, we landed on a Lyocell and cotton blend, with a merino blend coming very soon. No microplastics, naturally odour-resistant, soft to the touch, and tough enough for long days on the hills. Made in small batches on the Portuguese coast, because that's how you make things properly.
The Original Tee. Five colours. More coming soon
